Part of the Carnmoney community

Pride of the Hill Flute Band has been an integral part of the community in Carnmoney for over 40 years. A tight-knit family band, they are proud to commemorate history, uphold traditions and celebrate culture.

Supporting young people

The band works closely with young people in the area and is pleased to have some of them in its ranks, learning teamwork and discipline along the way.

Community togetherness

Each year, the band participates in family fun days in the area, visits care homes to entertain residents and supports community togetherness. Members also look forward every year to their annual 11th night walk to the local bonfire.

Remembrance visits

The band has visited the Somme and walked in single file across the bridge in Arnhem associated with Operation Market Garden. The band describes itself as the first band to have made the crossing in this way.
